1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing cocorunning.ph, creating a runner account or registering for any CocoRunning event, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes are announced on the site and take effect for registrations made after the update date.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Minors may be registered by a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these terms on their behalf and must sign the waiver at race kit claiming.

Some categories have minimum age, qualifying time or medical clearance requirements published on the event page.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your runner profile, including birthdate, which determines your official age group, and emergency contact details.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Activity carried out under your account is treated as your own.

4. Event registration

A registration is confirmed only after full payment is received. Slots are allocated on a first-paid basis and may sell out before the published deadline.

Registrations are personal. Running under another runner's bib is prohibited and voids results, certificates and prizes for both runners.

CocoRunning may correct obvious pricing or category errors and, where a correction affects you, will offer a refund of the affected registration.

5. Payments and fees

Registration fees are shown in Philippine Pesos and include a processing fee displayed at checkout before you pay.

Payments are handled by third-party processors (GCash, Maya, card and bank transfer). We do not store full card numbers.

Unpaid or failed transactions release the slot back to the pool automatically.

6. Refunds, transfers and changes

Registration fees are non-refundable except where an event is cancelled by the organizer, in which case a credit toward a future CocoRunning race is issued.

Category changes and slot transfers close 21 days before race day and may carry a price difference. Downgrades do not refund the difference.

Race kits not claimed within the published claiming period are forfeited.

7. Assumption of risk and waiver

Running events involve inherent risks including injury, illness, traffic, weather and, in rare cases, death. By registering you confirm you are medically fit to participate and assume these risks voluntarily.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release CocoRunning, its organizers, sponsors, partners, marshals and volunteers from liability for any injury, loss or damage arising from your participation, except where caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.

8. Conduct and disqualification

Bandit running, course cutting, bib swapping, unregistered pacers, littering outside designated zones and abuse of officials result in disqualification and may lead to a ban from future events.

Marshal and medical staff instructions must be followed at all times.

9. Results, certificates and media

Chip and gun times are recorded by our timing partners. Timing protests must be filed within 48 hours of the publication of official results.

Your name, bib, category, times and finish photos may be published as part of official race records and event promotion.

10. Platform use and intellectual property

You may not scrape, resell or automate access to event, participant or results data without written permission.

The CocoRunning name, logo, event branding, page content and route maps are owned by CocoRunning or its partners and may not be reused without consent.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Disputes are submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Cebu City.
